Mission Statement
The mission of the Missouri Service-Learning Network is to enhance, promote and sustain meaningful service-learning in the state of Missouri.

Goals
To increase the number of private, public and parochial schools using effective service-learning.
To reach out to agencies and community-based organizations.
To create a network of practitioners and organizations using service-learning.
To provide training and resources.
To research and write appropriate grants.

Guiding Principles
1. We believe that service-learning is a valuable and powerful teaching methodology.
2. We believe that service-learning enhances and strengthens the academic experience.
3. We believe that service-learning strengthens and builds communities.
4. We believe that service-learning produces responsible citizens and better prepared members of the workforce.

By-Laws

1. The mission of the Missouri Service-Learning Network is to enhance, promote and sustain meaningful service-learning in the state of Missouri.
2. The Missouri Service-Learning Network Board will be made up of a minimum of three and no more than five service-learning supporters.
3. The Board will select a Chair and Secretary/Treasurer.
4. The officers will be responsible for signing official papers and checks.
5. The Secretary/Treasurer shall prepare an official record of the proceedings of the Board meeting.  Official copies of all minutes will be kept by the Secretary/Treasurer.
6. By-laws may be changed by a majority vote of the board.
7. The Network will be a self perpetuating board.
8. The Supervisor of Service-Learning for the state of Missouri will serve as an ex-officio member of the board.
9. Any assets remaining at the dissolution of this organization will be donated to a non profit
